Mark White CBE DL

Mark is a member of the Alpha Academies Trust.
Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, and with close links to the area Mark retired in 2022 as chair of a large college group in Teesside. He retired in 2023 as chair of College Sport in England, and in 2026 as chair of the English Association of Colleges Charitable Trust.
Mark is chair of the Stockton-on-Tees Strategic Education Board and is a Deputy Lieutenant of County Durham. He also chairs the Town Deal Board in Thornaby-on-Tees.
Mark was appointed OBE in 2016 for services to education particularly in Teesside and promoted CBE in 2023 for services to further education. In 2026 he was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law, by Teesside University.
