Diane Thompson

Start of Service – 3 April 2020

Diane is a Trustee of the Alpha Academies Trust and Chair of the board.  She is a member of the inclusion and Community Engagement Committee.

Diane is an authentic leader with an interest in the development and growth of people and businesses. She has spent her career in the housing, not-for-profit and charitable sectors, 18 years as CEO responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and business plan with accountability for all day-to-day operations.  Diane brings previous Director experience for new housing development, asset management, regeneration, and corporate services. Diane has led and grown a business that has impacted people’s lives and created social change for those that need it most.

She is motivated and passionate about people and leads with the aim of helping everyone to contribute to a business and to understand the value and difference they can make.  

Diane has great passion for helping leaders and business grow and prosper.  She is a Co-Chair of a Vistage UK Group in Birmingham working with Business leaders and undertakes some private coaching work to support individual growth and development.  She has an MBA in Housing and Post Graduate certificate in coaching.
