Students will understand the government of the day, democratic process and different government systems around the world.

Students can articulate the importance of peace, and understand different ways to achieve this – on a personal, local, and social level.
Jewish Festival: Yom Kippur
Students understand the significance of Yom Kippur to Jewish people around the world. Students can reflect on their spiritual beliefs around this festival.
Black History Month (various events across academies throughout October)
Students understand the impact and lasting contributions of black men and women throughout history and to recognise the meaningful impact on democracy and society.
To mark World Mental Health Day
Students can signpost themselves to mental health support, both within the Trust and in the wider community. Students feel a greater understanding of their own mental health, trigger points, and how to improve it.
United Nations Day
Students can understand the role of the United Nations concerning global peace and prosperity and ensuring moral choices and human rights are upheld for all citizens.
Hindu Festival: Diwali
Students understand the significance of the Diwali festival to Hindus around the world. Students can reflect on their spiritual beliefs around this festival.
16th November – 20th November
Student bullying incidents reduce across the Trust. Students can identify bullying in all its forms and show empathy towards others. Students become less egocentric and more compassionate.
