The Governors of Maple Court Academy are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate, and driven Behaviour Support Worker to join the committed and hard-working team at Maple Court Academy. Maple Court Academy are on a rapid journey of improvement and have undergone significant changes since their Ofsted in June 2021. Maple Court Academy is a part of Alpha Academies Trust, priding itself on developing strong links between its academies in both primary and secondary contexts. Leaders have collaborated with Eaton Park Academy, aligning policy and practice under a shared Executive Principal. Maple Court is a larger than average two form entry primary school which serves the communities of Bentilee and Bucknall.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of the education system and national curriculum; experience of working with learners with behavioural challenges and social and emotional needs is essential. This will encompass the understanding of behaviour management strategies and the ability to deliver personalised learning programmes to learners, in class, in nurture or in an AP setting.

The candidate must have excellent communication skills and will lead on the delivery social and emotional programmes as well as the national curriculum. The environment in which the role operates will demand that the post holder has the initiative and confidence to make decisions and solve problems themselves but is able to effectively judge when to make decisions, consult with others or their line manager.
